The accident occurred in the northbound lanes south of exit 52 to NJ 23 in Montville 11:45 a.m., according to 511NJ:

Two of four center lanes were initially closed as crews responded to clear the scene. All lanes had closed as of 12:10 p.m. with traffic trickling by using the shoulder:

The northbound side remained closed as of 2:45 p.m., according to 511NJ.

Two of three right lanes remained closed as of around 4:10 p.m.:

Between 50 and 100 gallons of fuel had leaked from the vehicle, prompting a HAZMAT response, initial reports said.
